The bike is so futuristic that it has even Tata Motors owned Land Rover interested. In fact Jaguar Land Rover’s venture capital fund InMotion Ventures has actually invested in the venture. Sebastian Peck, Managing Director, InMotion Ventures said, “For Jaguar Land Rover’s venture capital fund, this is about being a technology leader in a disruptive environment. Our mission is to develop an expanded footprint for Jaguar Land Rover in the brave new world of premium mobility. We understand the power of emotional connection and creating really desirable objects, so we see natural synergy with Arc. In raw pace, Arc Vector rivals fossil-fuelled superbikes, sprinting from standstill to 60mph in 3.1 seconds and carrying on to 120mph. Constant torque provides phenomenal throttle control and, if desired, front wheel lifting fireworks. Complete charging takes just 45 minutes with a fast charger. The combination of range, performance and practicality sets a new bar.

Notably, the idea for Arc was born out of Jaguar Land Rover’s White Space ‘skunk works’, an  innovation lab previously headed by Mark Truman. “At Arc, we have set out to create an electric motorbike with soul,” explains Mark, “one which thrills riders every bit as much as a flame-spitting internal combustion cycle, and which is more inspiring and desirable than any other two-wheel on the planet.

Arc Vector styling brings to mind the classic spirit of a British cafe racer, a symbol of freedom and high-fashion that stands for peerless handling and debonair attitude. It is also jaw-dropping modern, taking not only the very latest technological innovations and employing many for the first time on a motorbike, but sculpting the machine from a futuristic yet classically inspired vision.

Vector, first of all, is hand-built. It also has a lightweight carbon-composite body and ingeniously balanced battery-module monocoque, which is as efficient as it is attractive. It has MotoGP levels of stiffness for zero compromise on the ride.

As it is important to charge an electronic vehicle the Vector can be fully charged in just 45 minutes with a quick charging point or service station.  Its battery power cells can produce 399 units of voltage, which gives a range of 200 miles in urban roads and 120 miles on the highway.

Mark Truman, Founder, and CEO, Arc Vehicle Ltd said, “We felt that there was more one could get out of motorcycling which no one was tapping into. This is about using technology to strip back the experience of riding a bike, through the use of haptics and HUD. The helmet and jacket work in tandem with the Vector to remove distractions and emphasize the joy of riding.
